Term 3 Reports

Term 3 Secondary report cards were sent on April 25th. Please contact our office staff if you did not receive your report card.

Provincial Exams

Provincial Exams for Math 10, Science 10, English 10, English 12 and Social Studies 11 are available in April, May and June. Please check the provincial exam schedule (click here) and if you are ready to write a provincial exam please send an email to your teacher. 

French Courses Now Available!

NCDES is pleased to announce that our French program is now available. We will be prioritizing District 82 students for enrolment, but currently have space available FR 10-12 and can enrol students who are in other districts. Contact the school for details.

Registration

Parents must contact the K-9 teachers to complete the Student Learning Plan and application, and students need to demonstrate activity in their program for registration to be complete.  Ask your child's teacher for details.

All 10-12 applications must include updated parent contact information, including a parent email address. 

10-12 and adult students, be sure to complete your Course Plan and 1st assignment to activate your registration.  Contact our office staff if you need help.

*** Identification is required for all adult students and for school age students not attending a regular school as per the BC Ministry of Education.  This will help speed up your registration if it is sent in right away.  Identification such as a Driver's License, BC ID, Status Card, Passport or Birth Certificate may be used.  If you have a digital camera or smart phone, you can email a snapshot of your identification to clerical@ncdes.ca

New Staff

There have been some changes to our staff over the past few months. 

As many of you already know, our beloved Grad Program Advisor and ICTC & PL teacher, Mr. Mike Wilson, retired last year.  Mr. Wilson shared his wealth of knowledge and experience with many NCDES students over the years and he will be missed.

We are happy to announce we have 2 new teachers at NCDES this year.  Please join me in welcoming Mr. Geoff McKay (Grad Program Advisor) and Mr. Andy Klimach (Sr. EN & SS).  We are so pleased to have these two excellent educators on our team! 

Parent Advisory Council

The North Coast Distance Education School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is open to all parents of our full grade students. If your child is only enrolled with NCDES, you are very welcome to join. We meet online in a virtual classroom using Elluminate technology. Please contact NCDES principal, Cindy Sousa, for further details.
